HCM City intensifies collaboration with Communist Party of India

Vice Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City Phan Van Mai received visiting General Secretary of the Communist Party of India (CPI) Doraisamy Raja on August 30.

Mai said that Ho Chi Minh City is committed to implementing the Party and State's foreign policy, aiming to deepen the relationship between Vietnam and India in general, and between the Communist Party of Vietnam and the CPI, as well as other progressive forces in India, in particular.

The city wants to boost collaboration with India, particularly in trade and investment, and is willing to connect with Indian localities, like Kerala state where the CPI is the ruling party.

Doraisamy Raja expressed his impression of the socio-economic achievements gained by Ho Chi Minh City as well as its role and position at present.

Sharing the outcomes of his working visit, the CPI General Secretary stated that his delegation gained valuable experiences from the CPV in leading socio-economic development and Party building.

He affirmed that the Communist Party of India consistently supports cooperation with the CPV, as well as between the Indian and Vietnamese governments, specifically within the framework of the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries and the relationship between their peoples.
