Get-together marks Vietnam-Romania relations
(VOV) - The Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations (VUFO) and the Vietnam-Romania Friendship Association hosted a get-together in Hanoi on November 29 in the run up to the 65th anniversary of diplomatic ties (1950-2015).
Those in attendance included Romanian Chargé d’affaires Valeriu Arteni, Romanian entrepreneurs, and representatives from the Vietnamese Party Central Committee’s Commission for External Relations, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Friendship Association Chairman Tong Van Nga thanked the European country for supporting Vietnam in the past struggle for national reunification and the current national construction process, noting that Romania has organized training courses for more than 3,000 Vietnamese officials.
Bilateral relations have gone from strength to strength over the years,Nga said, adding his association will maximize effort to strengthen the solidarity, friendship and mutual understanding between the two peoples.
Romanian Chargé d’affaires Valeriu Arteni also expressed his delight at the sound friendship between the two nations while saying a number of political, cultural, economic and sci-tech activities will be staged to mark 65 years of relations.
He said he hopes that friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Hungary will grow and flourish in the time ahead.
