German President hails strategic partnership with Vietnam
VOV.VN - German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier noted his appreciation for the good development of the Vietnam-Germany strategic partnership over the past decade while receiving the new Vietnamese Ambassador, Vu Quang Minh who came to present his letter of credence on April 7.
The German President expressed his hope that the ambassador will make positive contribution to strengthening the bilateral relations in a variety of fields.
Minh thanked the President for paying attention to the bilateral ties as well as the 200,000-strong Vietnamese community living in his country.
He also expressed his gratitude for Germany’s donation of more than 10 million COVID-19 vaccine doses and medical supplies and equipment for Vietnam.
The Vietnam diplomat affirmed Vietnam’s recognition of great importance to its relations with Germany and pledged his best efforts in his capacity to deepen the bilateral friendship and cooperation.
During the meeting, the two sides also compared notes on several regional and international issues of shared concern, including the conflict in Ukraine and issues regarding peace, stability and development cooperation in the Asia-Pacific region.
