Four former officials of Da Nang proposed to be expelled from Party

Chaired by Secretary of the Party Central Committee and head of the commission Tran Cam Tu, the meeting considered reports from the Standing Board of the Central Military Commission on disciplinary actions against several Party members.

The commission found that several former leaders of Army Corps 15 and the Song Thu Corporation under the General Department of Defence Industry committed violations in leadership, production and trade, asset and equipment procurement, and land use and management.

Considering the nature, level, and consequences of the violations and Party regulations on disciplining Party members, the commission decided to relieve Maj. Gen Nguyen Xuan Sang from his position of former Vice Secretary of the Party Committee of Army Corps 15 for the 2010-2015 tenure and former Commander of Army Corps 15.

Warnings were given to former Vice Secretary of the Party Committee and former Commander of Army Corps 15 Maj. Gen Dang Anh Dung; former Secretary of the Party Committee and former Political Commissar of Army Corps 15 Maj. Gen Nguyen Duy Ngo; and former Secretary of the Party Committee and former Chairman cum General Director of the Song Thu Corporation Col. Ha Son Hai.

Other officers of Army Corps 15, the Song Thu Corporation and the General Department of Defence Industry were also reprimanded.

The commission asked the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat to expel four former officials of central Da Nang city from the Party as a disciplinary measure for seriously violating laws, including former Vice Secretary of the municipal Party Committee, former Secretary of the Party Civil Affairs Committee, and former Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Van Huu Chien; former Vice Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Nguyen Ngoc Tuan; former Director of the municipal Department of Environment and Natural Resources Nguyen Dieu; and former Secretary of the municipal Party Committee of Industrial Parks Dao Tan Bang.
