Flags at half-mast across HCM City for State funeral of former PM

VOV.VN - State offices and public buildings are flying the national flag at half-mast while all entertainment and sports activities have been brought to a halt during the two-day state funeral of former Prime Minister Phan Van Khai on March 20-21.

Concurrent tribute ceremonies for former Prime Minister Phan Van Khai are being held from 8:00am on March 20 to the end of March 21 at Thong Nhat Hall in Ho Chi Minh City and at the International Convention Centre in Hanoi.

A memorial service will be held at Thong Nhat Hall at 7:30 am on March 22. Later the same day, the burial ceremony will take place at 11:00 am in his hometown – Tan Thong Hoi commune, Cu Chi district, Ho Chi Minh City.

The national flag is flown at half-mast at state offices and public buildings across Ho Chi Minh City.
