Vietnam has new Deputy Prime Minister
VOV.VN - The National Assembly on June 6 approved a resolution ratifying the appointment of Justice Minister Le Thanh Long as Deputy Prime Minister in the incumbent government of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh for the 2021-2026 term.

The resolution received the support of 468 out of 469 National Assembly deputies present at the plenary session on June 6.
The resolution was approved on request of the Prime Minister who had nominated the Justice Minister as Deputy Prime Minister.
With the newly appointed personnel, the Government leadership currently consists of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and four Deputy Prime Ministers, namely Le Minh Khai, Tran Hong Ha, Tran Luu Quang, and Le Thanh Long.
Long, 61, has a Doctor of Laws degree. He has also acquired a high-level political theory certificate.
He had held major important positions such as Deputy Minister of Justice, Deputy Secretary of the Ha Tinh provincial Party Committee and Minister of Justice before being appointed as Deputy Prime Minister.
He is currently a member of the Party Central Committee and legislator of the National Assembly. He is also a member of the Central Steering Committee for Corruption and Negative Phenomena Prevention and Control.
