The 120-minute show, which was simultaneously connected to five localities nationwide - Dien Bien, Hanoi, Thanh Hoa, Kon Tum and Ho Chi Minh City, brought the audience back to the heroic years with unforgettable memories of the Dien Bien Phu campaign in May 1954.
The audience had the chance to meet and exchange with historical witnesses, watch documentaries about the historic victory of the Dien Bien Phu battle, and enjoy art performances in praise of the Party, President Ho Chi Minh and the nation.
On December 22, 1953, President Ho Chi Minh gave the army the flag “Determined to fight, Determined to win”, demonstrating the strategic determination of Vietnam to win the battle. The victory flag then became a sacred symbol in the campaign, a torch leading the army to victory on May 7, 1954.
The great Dien Bien Phu Victory on May 7, 1954 turned a new page in the history of world revolution, becoming a great source of encouragement in the struggle for national independence in other colonized countries around the world.
On this occasion, Party and State leaders presented medals to former soldiers, young volunteers, and frontline civilians who engaged in the Dien Bien Phu campaign.
