Rapid, sustainable development requires breakthrough reforms, says Party leader
VOV.VN - Achieving rapid and sustainable development requires new thinking, new approaches, and breakthrough reforms, Party General Secretary To Lam said while chairing a meeting on March 17 with the Socio-Economic Subcommittee in preparation for the coming 14th National Party Congress.

Addressing the meeting, To Lam praised the subcommittee’s efforts in drafting the five-year review report on the implementation of the 10-Year Socio-Economic Development Strategy (2021-2030) and in outlining development orientations for the coming five years from 2026-2030.
The socio-economic report plays an important role in outlining the Party’s policy line in the coming years, noted the Party leader.
According to the Party leader, the draft report has introduced several breakthrough innovations, continuously updating data, maintaining a concise and succinct format, and including solutions for achieving double-digit growth in the coming years.
He made an analysis of domestic and global situations and urged further improvements to the report before it is presented at the upcoming 11th Central Committee Conference.
It is essential to fully understand the dialectical relationship between stability for development and development for sustainable stability, toward the ultimate goal of continuously improving people’s livelihoods and better meeting their growing demands, said the top leader.
He also said, the report from the Economic-Social Subcommittee at the 14th national Party Congress is not just a guiding document but also emphasizes practical action, to ensure it can be implemented immediately after the Congress.
