He encouraged them to create breakthrough products and develop high-growth enterprises, including unicorn startups, to contribute to the country’s rapid and sustainable development.
The Party and State place great importance on Vietnamese youth as a pioneering and creative force in national construction and defence, the Prime Minister reaffirmed.
He commended the Youth Union for effectively implementing policies on youth development, talent nurturing and building a capable youth workforce.
The Prime Minister stressed that in all circumstances, Vietnamese youth have demonstrated their role as a core force and pioneer across various sectors, contributing significantly through creativity, dedication and willingness to take on challenges.
Highlighting the broader context, he noted that 2026 marks the first year of implementing the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress and the 2026–2030 socio-economic development plan, seen as the beginning of a new development era.
Against a rapidly changing and unpredictable global backdrop, the Prime Minister called on young people to maintain strong political commitment, embrace innovation in both thinking and action, and adopt a forward-looking, professional and globally integrated approach.
To further harness youth potential, he urged the Youth Union to launch practical and impactful movements, focusing on six pioneering areas. These include leading in innovative thinking and creative action, as well as spearheading science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation.
Young people must dare to take on challenges, master new technological fields, and create breakthrough products that enhance productivity and foster high-growth enterprises, including Vietnam’s own unicorn startups, he said.
He also highlighted the importance of promoting Vietnamese cultural identity globally while integrating international values into national development.
