PM to hold dialogue with farmers to address concerns
VOV.VN - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has agreed to hold a dialogue with farmers to address pressing issues in agriculture and rural development, and farmers’ livelihoods.
The meeting is also to seek solutions to support and enhance the agricultural sector’s sustainable growth in the era of national advancement.
Under an official dispatch released by the Government Office, the PM requested that the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers’ Union work alongside relevant ministries and agencies to make preparations for the dialogue.
He tasked relevant ministries and agencies to prepare responses and solutions for the issues raised by farmers and cooperatives, based on their respective jurisdictions and responsibilities.
The Prime Minister’s dialogue with farmers is an annual event organized by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers’ Union since 2018. Since its inception, the meeting has been held five times, becoming a key platform for the Prime Minister to directly engage with farmers and cooperatives on critical issues in agriculture, rural development, and farming communities.
