People urged to actively participate in safeguarding national security
VOV.VN - Party General Secretary To Lam called on the public to uphold the tradition of patriotism, maintain revolutionary vigilance, and turn each family into a strong fortress on the front line of national security, while attending the 2025 All-People’s Day for Safeguarding National Security festival in Tuyen Quang province on August 14.
The event is an opportunity to reflect on history, honour and express gratitude for the people’s great contributions to safeguarding national security and ensuring social order, and to continue promoting these valuable traditions in the era of integration and development, he said.
The Party leader urged Tuyen Quang province to thoroughly implement the Party’s guidelines and the State’s policies, placing the people at the centre and recognising them as the driving force and main actors in safeguarding national security.
He also called for renewed mindsets and approaches in carrying out the movement, expanding it from the grassroots, fostering national pride, and ensuring its practical effectiveness.
For the police forces, the General Secretary emphasised the need to improve intelligence gathering, strategic advisory work, and the handling of complex situations from the grassroots level. He encouraged the application of artificial intelligence, big data, and digital transformation in professional tasks tied to modern governance, along with the replication of effective models and exemplary examples.
On this occasion, Party General Secretary To Lam and other leaders of the Party and State attended the inauguration of the “President Ho Chi Minh in Tan Trao” Monument — a project of great political, historical, and cultural significance, serving as a highlight in the cultural and historical space of the Tan Trao Special National Relic Site.
Tan Trao, known as Vietnam’s “Capital of the Resistance,” is where President Ho Chi Minh directly led and directed historic decisions that culminated in the success of the August Revolution in 1945.
