Party leader requests breakthroughs in inspection and supervision work
VOV.VN - Party General Secretary To Lam has directed the integration of anti-waste measures into inspection and supervision activities, emphasizing that this is a key task in management and governance.
Addressing a national conference on the Party’s inspection and supervision work in hanoi on December 19, To Lam noted that that combating waste not only enhances the efficient use of resources but also plays a vital role in building a clean and strong Party, thereby strengthening public trust.
It’s imperative to vigorously innovate the methods and approaches of inspection and supervision while accelerating digital transformation and the application of information technology to further enhance the quality, effectiveness, and efficiency of the Party's inspection, supervision, and disciplinary work, said the Party leader.
He asked Party committees, organizations, and inspection commissions at all levels to continue implementing comprehensive measures to prevent violations and negative behaviours, under the motto “no forbidden zones, no exceptions” and “any wrongdoing must be concluded and addressed.”
He also asked the Party Central Committee’s Inspection Commission to urgently review Party regulations on inspection and supervision to promptly advise on necessary amendments and updates. These adjustments, he said, must align with the new organizational model of Party units nationwide, ensuring proper authority, functions, and responsibilities are upheld.
It was reported at the conference that this year Party committees at all levels inspected more than 55,000 Party organizations and more than 308,000 Party members. As a result, over 1,700 Party organizations and more than 6,000 Party members were found to have shortcomings or violations. Disciplinary actions were taken against 35 Party organizations and 189 Party members, with disciplinary measures executed for 7 Party organizations and 136 Party members.
