Party Committee discusses key personnel for next tenure

VOV.VN - The Party Central Committee convened its 12th conference in Hanoi on May 11 to examine which personnel will work during the next tenure.

The four-day conference represents a significance event in the country’s political calendar with the 13th National Party Congress drawing closer.

Some of the priorities on the working agenda include discussing which personnel will make up the next Party Central Committee, the election of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and to the grassroots-level People’s Councils during the next tenure, among other issues.

Addressing the event, Party General Secretary and State President Nguyen Phu Trong noted that the conference is taking place amid the nation celebrating its 45th anniversary of Southern Liberation and National Reunification, in addition to the 130th birthday of late President Ho Chi Minh, and immediately after the country has successfully brought the novel coronavirus under control.

He requested that each member of the committee display a high sense of responsibility and provide their opinions on approved content in order to ensure the overall success of the conference.

The 13th National Party Congress is scheduled to take place at the beginning of 2021.
