Party chief To Lam pays tribute to President Ho Chi Minh in Phu Quoc
VOV.VN - Party General Secretary To Lam and other Party and State leaders on November 20 laid flowers and incense at the Ho Chi Minh Monument in the Phu Quoc Special Zone, An Giang province, as part of their working visit to the province.
In a solemn atmosphere, General Secretary Lam and other members of the delegation observed a moment of silence, expressing their profound respect and gratitude to President Ho Chi Minh – the great leader of the Party and the Vietnamese nation.
The delegation then visited the Phu Quoc Martyrs’ Temple and Phu Quoc Martyrs’ Cemetery, where thousands of soldiers who bravely fought and sacrificed their lives in the past wars rest in peace.
These activities aim to honour the immense contributions and sacrifices made for the independence and freedom of the nation, while reaffirming the tradition of “When drinking water, remember the source” upheld by the Party, State, and Vietnamese people.
On November 19, he delegation visited officers and soldiers stationed on Hon Khoai archipelago in southern Ca Mau province, where they also inspected the progress of two key projects – one that connects the mainland to Hon Khoai Islands and the other to build the dual-use Hon Khoai Port.
