Party chief sets agenda for implementing 14th Congress Resolution
VOV.VN - Party General Secretary To Lam on February 23 outlined key priorities for implementing the 14th National Party Congress Resolution, calling for an immediate start to the new development phase for 2026–2030.
Speaking at a Lunar New Year meeting with officials and staff of the Party Central Committee’s Office in Hanoi, the Party chief stressed that 2026 marks the first year of executing the 14th Congress Resolution and sets the tone for the country’s next five-year socio-economic development plan.
He said the workload ahead would be substantial, requiring early preparation, seamless coordination and uninterrupted advisory support to the Party Central Committee.
The Party Central Committee’s Office must ensure continuous and effective advisory services for the Party leadership, avoiding delays or disruptions as the country enters a new strategic development period, he emphasised.
He called on officials to proactively contribute ideas and solutions to help translate the Congress’s targets into actionable policies, particularly as Vietnam advances toward its long-term goals tied to the centenary milestones of the Communist Party in 2030 and the nation in 2045.
The time is limited, and the tasks ahead are significant, including many unprecedented and complex issues that demand strong determination and coordinated efforts, he reminded.
The Party chief also urged officials to enhance political integrity, professional capacity and administrative discipline, underscoring the need for high standards of responsibility, transparency and efficiency.
He highlighted the importance of maintaining institutional stability and policy consistency while adapting to evolving domestic and international conditions.
The early articulation of implementation priorities reflects the leadership’s focus on translating political resolutions into concrete governance outcomes, in the context that Vietnam seeks to sustain economic growth, strengthen institutional reform and deepen international integration in the coming years.
