National Assembly to begin year-end session on October 23
VOV.VN - The sixth session of the 15th National Assembly is scheduled to open in Hanoi on October 23 and to last for 22 days in two phases.
Lawmakers will adopt nine bills, a resolution and give opinions on eight other bills.
Among the bills to be adopted is the amended Land Law which will create an important legal basis for applying all valuation methods. Land valuation is a key issue to solve current land-related difficulties, problems and violations.
Other legal documents to be adopted include laws on real estate business; housing; water resources; telecommunication; management and protection of national defense works and military zones; forces’ engagement in security and order protection at the grassroots-levels; citizen identification; and credit institutions.
Besides the lawmaking programme, the National Assembly will review the implementation of socio-economic development and budgetary tasks for 2023, and set major development and budgetary tasks for 2024, along with public investment allocation for next year.
The lawmakers will conduct an inquiry for several Government members and hold a vote of confidence for a number of senior State apparatus leaders who were either elected or approved by the legislature.
The year-end session will be divided in two phases, with the first lasting from October 23 to November 10, and the other from November 20 to 28.
