National Assembly to begin question-and-answer round today
VOV.VN - The National Assembly continued its year-end sitting in Hanoi on November 11 with a question-and-answer session, focusing on three critical sectors, namely banking, health care and information-communication.
will answer questions related to monetary policy management to control inflation amidst global economic volatility; state management of the gold and foreign exchange markets; and loan support and interest rate reductions for citizens and businesses to recover production and business activities following the COVID-19 pandemic and natural disasters.
Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan will be grilled over issues related to mobilizing and allocating medical forces, ensuring the supply of medicines and medical supplies for citizens, as well as disease prevention and control after natural disasters. In addition, she will be questioned over the issuance of licenses and professional certificates in the medical examination and treatment field; the management of supplementary diets, pharmaceuticals, and cosmetics, along with solutions to address violations.
The minister will also clarify the prevention of harmful effects of tobacco and stimulants, especially in school.
Last but not least, Minister of Information and Communication Nguyen Manh Hung will talk about solutions to improve the quality of journalism in the current era of social media explosion; the role of revolutionary journalism in promoting socio-economic development; advertisement management in the press and online services; as well as the investment, development and quality improvement of telecommunications infrastructure, especially in remote, rural, and ethnic minority areas.
Deputy Prime Ministers Ho Duc Phoc and Le Thanh Long, and several other ministers will also engage in responding to inquiries and clarifying related issues.
The Prime Minister is expected to clarify relevant issues and respond to questions from National Assembly deputies.
The two-day questioning session will be broadcast live on the national television and radio broadcasting system.
