Lawmakers discuss thrift practice, waste prevention

VOV.VN - Lawmakers are on October 31 scheduled to examine the implementation of policies and related documents on thrift practice and waste prevention at the ongoing National Assembly session in Hanoi.

Nguyen Phu Cuong, chairman of the Finance and Budget Committee of the National Assembly, and deputy head of the National Assembly’s oversight delegation, presented a report on the implementation of policies and related documents on thrift practice and waste prevention in the 2016-2021 period.

Lawmakers then reviewed the results and gave opinions on the matter.

The National Assembly has issued a resolution monitoring the implementation of policies and related documents on thrift practice and waste prevention in the 2016-2021 period.

An oversight delegation of the National Assembly has been established to monitor the implementation of those related policies in the government, 15 ministries and ministerial-level agencies, 15 centrally-run localities and judicial agencies. Work is focused on the State management and use of State budget, State capital, State assets, labour, and natural resources.

The National Assembly is expected to issue a resolution aimed at creating a clear and fundamental change in thrift practice and waste prevention to go hand in hand with the ongoing fight against corruption and negativity.
