Fatherland leader pays Xmas visit to Binh Thuan

VOV.VN - Secretary of the Party Central Committee and President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee Do Van Chien on December 16 visited Phan Thiet Diocese in Binh Thuan province on the occasion of Christmas 2022.

Chien wished Joseph Do Manh Hung, bishop of Phan Thiet Diocese, and priests, and all Catholic compatriots a warm, peaceful, joyful Christmas and a happy New Year.

He highly appreciated the great contribution by the bishop, priests, and Catholic compatriots to local socio-economic development, unity and charity campaigns. Notably, he said they have actively participated in the COVID-19 fight and environmental protection endeavours.

Chien expressed hope the diocese’s clerics. Priests and Catholics would continue to work alongside the local administration, other religions and people of all social strata to actively respond to emulation drives, contributing to socio-economic development, political stability, and defence-security maintenance.

Bishop Do Manh Hung thanked the Party, State and government at all levels for creating favourable conditions for the Diocese to operate over the years.   

He assured that the local Catholic community would continue to actively respond to emulation campaigns, especially those related to environmental protection.
