Conference implements new Party directives on ethnic, religious affairs
VOV.VN - A conference was held in Buon Ma Thuot ward, Dak Lak province, on May 7 to disseminate and implement new directives issued by the Party Secretariat on ethnic and religious affairs in the new development phase.
The conference aims to strengthen awareness and responsibility among Party committees and organisations in carrying out ethnic and religious policies, while linking these tasks with socio-economic development, national defence, security and political stability in the new context.
At the event, representatives from the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Information, Education and Mass Mobilisation, the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of Ethnic and Religious Affairs presented key directives of the Party Secretariat related to ethnic and religious affairs.
Addressing delegates, Pham Tat Thang, standing deputy head of the Commission for Information, Education and Mass Mobilisation, stressed that ethnic and religious affairs remain strategic and long-term issues of special importance to strengthening national unity and ensuring sustainable national development.
He noted that the newly implemented directives not only concretise the resolution of the 14th National Party Congress but also provide guidance for organising ethnic and religious affairs amid digital transformation and deeper international integration.
The official called on Party committees, agencies and organisations at all levels to promptly translate the directives into practical action plans with clear priorities, while eliminating formalistic implementation.
He also emphasised the importance of building and promoting core grassroots forces, including reputable community figures and religious dignitaries, describing them as effective bridges connecting the Party and State with the people.

She held the conference plays an important role in helping local authorities grasp the core contents, tasks and implementation measures of the Party Secretariat’s directives on ethnic and religious affairs in the new situation.
“This conference is particularly meaningful for localities with large ethnic and religious communities. It helps officials fully understand the key tasks and solutions so they can quickly develop concrete action plans suited to local realities,” she said.
The event was jointly organised by the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Information, Education and Mass Mobilisation, the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Ethnic and Religious Affairs, and the Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee.
