Vietnamese PM to attend memorial service for Comrade Khamtay Siphandone

VOV.VN - Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh is scheduled to attend the memorial service for Khamtay Siphandone, former president of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party and former president of Laos, in Vientiane on April 7, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Earlier, on April 4, Vietnamese Party General Secretary To Lam also paid tribute to the late Lao leader during a funeral ceremony in Vientiane.

Khamtay Siphandone, a prominent revolutionary leader, passed away in Vientiane on April 2. He was a distinguished revolutionary and close friend of Vietnam who made great contributions to nurturing the special solidarity, friendship, and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos.
