Vietnam to attend Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024 in India

VOV.VN - Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang will attend the 10th Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024 to be held in the Indian state of Gujarat from January 9 to 12 at the invitation of Bhupendra Patel, Chief Minister of Gujarat.

The annual summit initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi serves as a forum to promote business collaboration, share knowledge and establish partnerships towards the common gold of inclusive growth and sustainable development.

Themed “Gateway to the Future,” the summit will host various events, including seminars and conferences on globally relevant topics such as Industry 4.0, Technology and Innovation, Sustainable Manufacturing, Green Hydrogen, Electric Mobility and Renewable Energy and Transition towards Sustainability.

In the Vibrant Gujarat Global Trade Show as part of the summit, companies will display products made from world class state of the art technology. E-mobility, Start-ups, MSMEs, Blue Economy, Green Energy & Smart Infrastructure are some of the focus sectors of the Trade Show.

The comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and India has developed positively in recent times, through high-level meetings and contacts. Defense-security cooperation remains a pillar in bilateral relations.

Economic and trade cooperation between Vietnam and India has gathered steam after the COVID-19 pandemic, with two-way trade exceeding the US$15 billion mark in 2022. The first 10 months of 2023 saw bilateral trade hit US$12 billion, including US$7 billion worth of Vietnamese exports.
