Vietnam to attend AZEC ministerial meeting in Japan
VOV.VN - Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Tran Hong Ha will attend the Asia Zero Emissions Community (AZEC) Ministerial Meeting in Japan in early March.
The meeting will be held in Tokyo, Japan, on March 3-4, according to the government portal.
Vietnam is committed to reducing greenhouse gas emissions to zero by 2050 at the 26th UN Conference on Climate Change in Glasgow, Scotland, in late 2021.
The government has developed the national strategy on climate change which prioritises pooling resources for climate change response and greenhouse gas emission reduction for stages to 2030 and 2050, to ensure zero net emissions by 2050.
