Vietnam, Laos NA agencies share work experience in Dong Hoi
VOV.VN - The Vietnam National Assembly Office and the Laos National Assembly Secretariat jointly held a workshop in Dong Hoi city of Vietnam to share experience in work performance.
The workshop focused on improving the quality of secretarial work, information gathering and communication enhancement, and promoting the application of information technology at legislative sessions, along with the coordination between the NA Office and the Office of the NA delegations.
Addressing the gathering, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam National Assembly Tran Thanh Man highly appreciated the close cooperation between the Office of the Vietnam National Assembly and the Secretariat of the Laos National Assembly over the years.
The annual organization of the workshop demonstrates the role and responsibility of the assisting agencies of the two legislative bodies and a vivid manifestation of the increasingly practical and effective cooperation between the two agencies, he stressed.
He suggested that the two sides choose practical topics in support of their legislative bodies’ working agenda in the fields of legislation, supervision and decision making, contributing to improving the operational efficiency of their legislative bodies.
For her part, Laos National Assembly General Secretary Pingkham Lasasimma noted the topics chosen for this year’s workshop were of practical significance to assist the Laos National Assembly to enhance its operational efficiency.
The Laos National Assembly Secretariat expects more practical issues will be discussed at the annual workshop to help improve work performance of the legislative bodies of the two countries, she said.
The workshop was held as part of efforts to realize a cooperation document signed in May 2022 between the Office of the Vietnam National Assembly and the Secretariat of the Laos National Assembly.
