Vietnam congratulates Cambodia on 68th Independence Day

VOV.VN - Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong on November 9 sent a congratulatory message to King Norodom Sihamoni and Chairman of the Cambodian People’s Party Hun Sen on Cambodia’s 68th Independence Day.

The same day, State President Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue correspondingly cabled messages of congratulations to King Norodom Sihamoni, Prime Minister Hun Sen, Senate President Samdech Say Chhum and National Assembly Speaker Samdech Heng Samrin.

In their messages, the Vietnamese leaders expressed their joy at the great achievements the Cambodian people have recorded in national development, and believed that Cambodia will continue to reap greater achievements, soon control the COVID-19 pandemic, and restore socio-economic development.

Vietnam will work closely with Cambodia to protect, preserve and cultivate the time-honoured relationship between the parties, states and peoples of the two countries, for peace, stability, cooperation and development in each country, the region and the world at large, they said.

On this occasion, Vietnamese Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son also sent a congratulatory letter to Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Prak Sokhonn (Pra Sokhon).
