Vietnam attends Voice of Global South Summit 2024 in India

Themed “An Empowered Global South for a Sustainable Future”, VOGSS 2024 will bring together leaders of more than 100 countries in the Global South to discuss a range of complex challenges that continue to affect the world, such as conflicts, food and energy security crises, climate change - all of which disproportionately affect developing countries in a severe manner.

At the Summit, the countries of the Global South would continue deliberations on challenges, priorities, and solutions for the Global South, particularly in the developmental domain.

The inauguration session will be chaired by Indian Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, with the participation of heads of state and governments.

Alongside the Leaders’ Session, there will be 10 Ministerial Sessions, with the participation of ministers in charge of foreign affairs, health, youth, trade, information & technology, energy, education and environment.

These Ministerial Sessions will be centered on “Charting a Unique Paradigm for Global South”, “One World-One Health”, “Trade for Development- Perspectives from Global South”, “DPIs for Development- A Global South Approach”, “People-Centric Approach to Global Finance”, “Global South and Global Governance”, “Sustainable Energy Solutions for a Sustainable Future”, “Prioritising Human Resource Development: A Global South Perspective.”
