Ukraine lauds cooperative ties with Vietnam

VOV.VN - Ukraine’s Deputy Foreign Minister Yevheniy Yenin hailed the friendship and cooperative relations between Ukraine and Vietnam both bilaterally and multilaterally during a Dec. 16 reception for Vietnamese ambassador Nguyen Hong Thach.

Yenin welcomed the newly accredited ambassador and assured his guest that the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry will work closely with the Vietnamese embassy to further strengthen the Vietnam-Ukraine relations in the coming time.

He thanked Vietnamese organisations, businesses and individuals for providing practical and timely assistance for Ukraine to fight against COVID-19.

Deputy Minister spoke of some Ukrainian initiatives to foster closer relations with ASEAN and suggested that Vietnam, with its important role in ASEAN, continue to support and coordinate with Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry in realizing these initiatives.

Ambassador Nguyen Hong Thach pledged during his term to coordinate closely with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, relevant agencies and businesses of Ukraine to enhance the relationship between the two countries.

He proposed that the Government of Ukraine create favourable conditions for the Vietnamese community to stabilize their lives and contribute more to Ukraine’s socio-economic development, while serving as a bridge to promote bilateral cooperation.
