Top Chinese leader Xi Jinping pays tribute to President Ho Chi Minh in Hanoi
VOV.VN - Party General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping on April 15 morning paid a floral tribute to President Ho Chi Minh of Vietnam at his mausoleum in Hanoi on April 15, as part of his ongoing state visit to Vietnam.

Vietnamese Party General Secretary To Lam also joined the Chinese leader in the activity.
President Ho Chi Minh of Vietnam and Chairman Mao Zedong of China were two outstanding revolutionary leaders of Vietnam and China in the 20th century. Both leaders shared communist ideals and the common goal of achieving independence for their respective nations. President Ho often described the Vietnam–China relationship as “just like comrades and brothers.”
Following the ceremony, General Secretary To Lam, President Luong Cuong, and General Secretary and President Xi Jinping visited the photo exhibition titled “75 Years of Diplomatic Relations between Vietnam and China” at the International Convention Centre in Hanoi.
The exhibition was jointly organized by the Vietnam News Agency, Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations, and Xinhua News Agency.
Also on April 15, Xi is scheduled to attend a Vietnam – China people’s friendship meeting and a launch ceremony of the Red Journey for the youth to better understand the shared revolutionary history and solidarity between the two Parties and states.
Afterwards, President Luong Cuong will hold a meeting with the top Chinese leader at the Presidential Palace.
