Singapore PM Lawrence Wong arrives in Hanoi for official visit to Vietnam
VOV.VN - Singapore’s Prime Minister Lawrence Wong and his spouse arrived in Hanoi on March 25 afternoon, beginning an official visit to Vietnam at the invitation of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his spouse.

The PM and his encourage were welcomed at Noi Bai International Airport by Minister of Science and Technology Nguyen Manh Hung, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Manh Cuong, and Vietnamese Ambassador to Singapore Tran Phuoc Anh.
Wong’s visit comes at a time when Vietnam and Singapore are working to realize the potential of their Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, which was recently upgraded during General Secretary To Lam’s visit to Singapore.
According to Ambassador Tran Phuoc Anh, this visit, taking place just over a week after Party leader To Lam’s trip to Singapore, serves as a step toward implementing the agreements and shared understandings reached during that high-level visit.
Meanwhile, Ambassador to Vietnam Jaya Ratnam noted that a key focus of To Lam’s visit to Singapore was reaffirming the two countries’ commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation.
His visit is expected to further deepen Vietnam – Singapore ties to overcome challenges, enhance resilience, and achieve greater growth together.
During his two-day stay, the Singaporean PM is scheduled to hold talks with the Vietnamese PM and meet with other senior Vietnamese leaders. He will also attend the inauguration of the Vietnam – Singapore Industrial Park (VSIP) in Thai Binh province.
