Senior Party official departs for official visits to Laos and Cambodia

VOV.VN - A high-ranking Vietnamese delegation led by Politburo member and Permanent member of the Secretariat of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee Tran Cam Tu left Hanoi on April 9, beginning official visits to Laos and Cambodia.

The two-day visits are taking place at the invitation of Vilay Lakhamphong, Permanent member of the Secretariat of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party (LPRP) Central Committee, and Samdech Say Chhum, Vice President of the Cambodian People’s Party (CPP) and Head of the Standing Board of the CPP Central Committee.

Tu is being accompanied by some of senior Party and State officials, including Bui Thi Minh Hoai, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee; Le Hoai Trung, Politburo member, Minister of Foreign Affairs; and Doan Minh Huan, Politburo member, President of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics.

Senior officials from the Ministry of National Defence and the Ministry of Public Security are also part of the delegation, along with leaders from several provinces and major cities.

The visits are expected to further strengthen Vietnam’s traditional friendship and comprehensive cooperation with Laos and Cambodia, while enhancing political trust and promoting collaboration across key areas of mutual interest.
