Senior legislator delighted at Vietnam-RoK relations

VOV.VN - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam National Assembly Nguyen Duc Hai on March 2 received Lee ShinJae, head of the Republic of Korea – Vietnam Friendship Association who is in Hanoi for an official visit to Vietnam.

Hai highly appreciated the RoK-Vietnam Friendship Association’s role in beefing up practical relations between the two countries, and expected the association would continue to serve as a bridge between the two countries and the two parliaments, thus creating a favourable legal environment for citizens of the two countries to promote cooperation and exchange in all fields.

He noted that both Vietnam and the RoK have many similarities in history and culture, and the two countries share strategic interests and have become each other’s important partners. Currently, he said a number of large Korean firms have invested in Vietnam, operating in various fields from heavy industry to electronics, and textiles.

In the textile and garment sector, besides creating jobs, Hai proposed that the RoK support and promote the comprehensive development of support industries associated with international fashion markets.  

He expressed his wish that the RoK -Vietnam Friendship Association would encourage Korean businesses to invest and expand their investment in Vietnam in the fields of the RoK’s strengths and Vietnam’s needs.

Chairman of the RoK - Vietnam Friendship Association Lee ShinJae affirmed that in the coming time his association will work closely with the Vietnam – RoK Friendship Association to continue promoting exchanges, contributing to strengthening relations between the two countries and the two parliaments.
