Prime Ministers of Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia meet in Vientiane
VOV.VN - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh of Vietnam, Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone of Laos and Prime Minister Hun Manet of Cambodia met during their working breakfast in Vientiane on October 9 on the sidelines of the 44th and 45th ASEAN Summits and related meetings.
The three PMs had a working breakfast in Tokyo, Japan, in December 2023, while attending a commemorative summit marking 50 years of ASEAN-Japan relations. They highly valued the flexible consultation format among the three Prime Ministers during their participation in multilateral activities, in order to review and find ways to resolve difficulties and obstacles in cooperation across various fields.
They also examined the establishment of a mechanism for meetings among the three Prime Ministers to realize the outcomes achieved at the high-level meeting of the top leaders of the three ruling parties of Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam.
At the meeting, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh affirmed that Vietnam supports and provides maximum assistance to help Laos successfully undertake the role of ASEAN Chair in 2024.
Laos is hosting the 44th and 45th ASEAN Summits and related meetings in Vientiane on October 8 – 11.
