PM Pham Minh Chinh’s working trip grabs Middle East headlines
VOV.VN - Major media agencies in the Middle East have highlighted the significance of Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh’s working trip to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Saudi Arabia, and Qatar from October 27 to November 1, noting that the results achieved will have a positive impact on relations between Vietnam and Middle Eastern countries in the future.
Khaleej Times, the UAE’s oldest English-language daily, quoted UAE Vice President and Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, saying Vietnam is one of the fastest-growing economies in Asia, and the UAE is its largest regional trading partner.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum made the statement following the signing of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) between the UAE and Vietnam.
Khaleej Times evaluated that the CEPA, the first of its kind between Vietnam and an Arab country, will help enhance access for UAE service providers across various sectors in the Vietnamese market, including business and transportation, engineering, financial services, health care, social services, travel, and logistics.
The UAE daily, in an another article, shared that Vietnam has developed strongly, becoming a key player in Southeast Asia with a continuously evolving social culture, improved material and spiritual living standards, and socio-political stability.
In recent years, Vietnam’s international reputation and standing have been increasingly elevated, it stressed.
Meanwhile, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on the signing of a cooperation framework agreement between the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PVN) and Saudi Aramco, held on the sidelines of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh’s visit, emphasizing that this agreement will pave the way for potential cooperation in storage, supply, and trade of energy and petrochemical products.
The Qatar News Agency (QNA) published an article, highlighting the growing relations between the two countries, bolstered by shared interests and a forward-looking vision that serves both sides. These relations are built on mutual respect, strengthened by high-level visits and agreements signed across various sectors.
QNA said that in recent times, the two countries have regularly engaged in exchanges, consultations, and reciprocal high-level visits to enhance bilateral relations and promote coordination at international forums. The news agency stressed that Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh’s visit represents an effort to take the relationship into a new phase with broader perspectives.
