PM Pham Minh Chinh welcomed in The Hague on Netherlands visit
VOV.VN - Prime Minister of the Netherlands Mark Rutte on December 12 hosted an official welcoming ceremony for his Vietnamese counterpart Pham Minh Chinh who is in The Hague for an official visit to the Netherlands.
The visit is expected to further strengthen multifaceted cooperation between the two countries, especially in economy-trade-investment, and in climate change response.
Over recent years, the Vietnam – Netherlands relations have developed positively even during the COVID-19 pandemic period. Senior leaders of the two countries have regularly exchanged and met each other, creating a firm foundation for promoting bilateral cooperation with a high level of trust.
Bilateral investment - trade relations have developed strongly in recent times. The Netherlands is Vietnam’s second largest trading partner in Europe and the largest investor among EU member states operating in Vietnam.
The Dutch government has donated 1 million doses of vaccines and medical equipment for COVID-19 control, helping Vietnam soon control the disease and create conditions for economic recovery and development.
The two PMs were scheduled to hold talks shortly after the welcoming ceremony.
