PM Chinh returns to Hanoi from European tour

VOV.VN - A high-ranking Vietnamese Government delegation led by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh arrived in Hanoi on November 6, concluding a European tour from October 31.

During his stay, PM Chinh attended the 26th UN Climate Change Conference (COP 26) in Glasgow, Scotland, and made a working visit to the UK at the invitation of British Prime Minister Boris Johnson. He also paid an official visit to France at the invitation of Prime Minister Jean Castex.

As soon as the aircraft carrying the Vietnamese delegation landed at Noi Bai International Airport, the Government Office hosted a ceremony to hand over medical supplies and financial aid for the COVID-19 fight donated by organisations and philanthropists to the Ministry of Health and the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

The Ministry of Health received medical equipment and supplies worth £3.5 million and €640,000 donated by expatriates, agencies in the United Kingdom and France plus more than 400,000 injection needles and some medical supplies supported by the France-Vietnam Medical Federation.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front received VND2 billion, more than £16,000 and €107,000 in cash supported by expatriates and agencies in the United Kingdom and France.
