Presenting the award, the Lao leader acknowledged the Vietnamese leader’s significant contributions to fostering the great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos.

In his speech, Party General Secretary Lam expressed deep honour and emotion in receiving the National Gold Order, emphasising that the award is not only a personal pride but also a vivid testament to the exemplary, enduring bond of comradeship and brotherhood between the two countries.

He reiterated sincere gratitude to the Lao Party, State, and people for standing shoulder to shoulder with Vietnam throughout the struggle for national independence in the past, as well as in the ongoing efforts to safeguard, build, and develop the country.

This spirit of solidarity has been a powerful force leading to the glorious achievements and lasting peace of both countries, and will continue to guide Vietnam and Laos to work together, and share the same direction and destiny, said the Vietnamese leader.

He affirmed his commitment to working with the Vietnamese Party and State leadership to further nurture the faithful and enduring Vietnam–Laos relationship in close coordination with Lao leaders, honouring the sacrifices and contributions of previous generations and meeting the aspirations of the people of both countries.

On this occasion, General Secretary Lam extended his best wishes to Party General Secretary and President Thongloun Sisoulith, and other leaders of both countries, wishing that the great friendship, special solidarity, and strategic cooperation between Vietnam and Laos would remain evergreen and everlasting.
