NA Chairman arrives in Switzerland for World Conference of Parliament Speakers
VOV.VN - A high-ranking Vietnamese delegation led by National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man arrived in Geneva, beginning a working trip to Switzerland where they will attend 6th World Conference of Speakers of Parliament and engage in a series of bilateral activities from July 27 – 30.

Chairman Tran Thanh Man is scheduled to deliver a speech at the July 29 General Debate on A world in turmoil: Parliamentary cooperation and multilateralism for peace, justice and prosperity for all.
On the sidelines of the conference, Chairman Man will hold bilateral meetings with leaders of various parliaments to discuss and promote cooperation in parliamentary affairs, trade, investment, and people-to-people exchanges.
He will also meet with Swiss leaders to further strengthen parliamentary relations, with a focus on maintaining regular high-level and working-level exchanges. This includes promoting cooperation between parliamentary committees and individual lawmakers to share experience in legal and policy-making processes, particularly in line with global development trends such as energy transition, digital transformation, climate change response, and sustainable development.
Chairman Man is also expected to attend and deliver opening remarks at a policy and legal dialogue on international financial centre governance, offering policy recommendations for Vietnam.
Upon his arrival in Geneva, Chairman Tran Thanh Man, his spouse, and the high-ranking delegation visited and met with officials and staff from Vietnam’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations and other international organisations in Geneva; the Vietnamese Embassy in Switzerland; and representatives of the Vietnamese community living and working in Switzerland.
