Lao PM Phankham Viphavanh to visit Vietnam this weekend

The January 8-10 visit was made at the invitation of Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, according to a communique released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on January 5.

While staying in Vietnam, the Lao PM will co-chair the 44th session of the Vietnam – Lao Intergovernmental Committee and launch the 2022 Year of Solidarity and Friendship between the two countries.

Vietnam and Laos will celebrate 60 years of bilateral diplomatic ties and 45 years of the Friendship and Cooperation Treaty in 2022.
