Kyrgyzstan Prime Minister Adylbek Kasimalyev to visit Vietnam this week
VOV.VN - Kyrgyzstan’s Prime Minister Adylbek Kasimalyev will pay an official visit to Vietnam on March 6-7 at the invitation of Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

This will be Kasimalyev’s first visit to Vietnam since assuming office as Kyrgyzstan’s Prime Minister in December 2024.
During his stay in Hanoi, the Kyrgyz Prime Minister is expected to hold talks with the Vietnamese Prime Minister and meet with other senior leaders.
Vietnam and Kyrgyzstan established diplomatic relations on June 4, 1992. However, their friendly ties date back much earlier, when Kyrgyzstan was still part of the Soviet Union.
Over the past 33 years, the two countries have seen many new opportunities for cooperation in trade, economy, and investment.
During attending the BRICS Summit in Kazan, Russia, last October, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh met with Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov, and they agreed to effectively implement the Free Trade Agreement between Vietnam and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), of which Kyrgyzstan is a member.
The two leaders also vowed to enhance cooperation in agriculture, education, health care, culture, sports, tourism, and aviation.
Most recently, in February, during a phone call with Kyrgyzstan’s Deputy Foreign Minister Abakirov Meder, Vietnamese Deputy Foreign Minister Le Thi Thu Hang reaffirmed Vietnam’s commitment to fostering friendly relations with traditional partners, including Kyrgyzstan.
She emphasized that bilateral relations have seen positive developments, providing a solid foundation for both sides to deepen cooperation across all sectors.
