French President Emmanuel Macron to visit Vietnam in late May
VOV.VN - French President Emmanuel Macron and his spouse will pay a State visit to Vietnam from May 25 – 27, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The invitation has been extended by Vietnamese State President Luong Cuong, the ministry said in a press communique on May 20.
Vietnam and France established ambassador-level diplomatic relations on April 12, 1973. The two countries officially established a Strategic Partnership in 2013, and upgraded it to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in 2024.
France is Vietnam’s fourth largest trading partner in the European Union, following Germany, the Netherlands, and Italy. It is also one of the major EU investors in Vietnam.
Vietnam and France have consistently prioritised strengthening cooperation between localities, which remains a key pillar in the two countries' Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
