Fatherland Front leader works with VKBIA to promote cooperation with RoK
VOV.VN - Do Van Chien, President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, held a working session with the Vietnam–Korea Business and Investment Association (VKBIA) in Seoul on August 2, as part of his ongoing working trip to the Republic of Korea.

The gathering was attended by officials of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Korean government representatives, leaders from the Korea Foundation, as well as Vietnamese and Korean entrepreneurs, experts, and members of the Vietnamese community in the RoK.
In his address, Chien, who is also Politburo member and Secretary of the Party Central Committee, highly appreciated the practical and effective contributions of VKBIA in promoting cooperation in investment, trade, science and technology, education and training, cultural exchange, and inter-locality partnerships between the two countries. He emphasised that VKBIA has become a solid bridge connecting the overseas Vietnamese community with their homeland while contributing to sustainable development and integration.
He also commended VKBIA for its meaningful programmes dedicated to the homeland in recent years, such as supporting Vietnam during the COVID-19 pandemic, aiding disaster-hit regions affected by storms and floods, and implementing activities that strengthen national unity and promote Vietnam’s sovereignty over its seas and islands.
VFF President Chien affirmed that the Vietnam Fatherland Front will continue to accompany and support overseas community organisations, including VKBIA, in leveraging their strengths, fostering unity, and contributing actively to Vietnam’s development in the new era of deep international integration.
During the event, VFF President Chien and other officials of the VFF delegation performed the ribbon-cutting ceremony to open the Vietnam–Korea Exhibition Centre Office. They then visited the Vietnam – Ho Chi Minh Cultural Space, which showcases images, documents, and publications about Vietnam’s history and culture, along with distinctive products from different regions, promoting the country and its people to the international community.

On the occasion of VKBIA’s 6th anniversary, the association and its President Tran Hai Linh were honoured to receive a Certificate of Merit from the President of the VFF Central Committee in recognition of their outstanding achievements in facilitating cooperation and investment between Vietnamese and Korean businesses during the 2021–2025 period, and for their contributions to the overseas Vietnamese community in the RoK.
Earlier, from July 29 to August 1, Dr. Tran Hai Linh, VKBIA President and member of the VFF Central Committee, actively participated in various activities alongside the VFF delegation, working to enhance Vietnam–Korea cooperation across multiple sectors such as investment, education, technology, cultural exchange, and locality-to-locality partnerships.
