Cambodian and Lao congratulations to newly elected Vietnamese Party leader To Lam

To Lam was elected the Vietnamese Party chief at an extraordinary plenum of the Party Central Committee in Hanoi on August 3.

In his message, CPP leader Hun Sen wrote that the election demonstrating the confidence of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the entire Vietnamese people in To Lam’s capability and leadership.

He expressed his belief that, under the leadership of To Lam, the Communist Party of Vietnam would continue to successfully realize its goals of ensuring political stability, spurring socio-economic development and maintaining peace, stability and prosperity of Vietnam as well as in the region.

Hun Sen also expected that the traditional friendship, solidarity and close cooperation between the two Parties would be increasingly strengthened, in the interest of the two peoples.

Meanwhile, in his congratulatory message LPRP General Secretary Thongloun Sisoulith expressed his belief that under the clear-sighted leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam led by To Lam, the Vietnamese people would continue to record greater achievements in the cause of Renewal and in successfully implementing the Resolution of the 13th Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam, towards completing the goal of building Vietnam into a modern industrialized and socialize country, as well as a rich people, a strong state, and a fair, democratic and civilized society.

Sisoulith, who is also President of Laos, vowed to stand side by side with To Lam and other leaders of Vietnam to further strengthen and cultivate the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Laos and Vietnam, in the interests of the two peoples, and for peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and the rest of the world.
