Bulgarian National Assembly leader visits Ninh Binh province
VOV.VN - Speaker of the Bulgarian National Assembly Rossen Zhelyazkov paid a working trip to Ninh Binh province on January 6 as part of his ongoing official visit to Vietnam.
Receiving the Bulgarian leader, Doan Minh Huan, secretary of the provincial Party Committee, briefed his guest on the local socio-economic and tourism development potential, saying Ninh Binh steadfastly chooses a green, environmentally friendly development model, taking tourism as a key economic sector, high-tech as a driving force, the cultural industry and heritage economy as a breakthrough, and ecological agriculture as a support pillar.
Ninh Binh is proud to have Trang An Landscape Complex recognized by UNESCO as a dual World Heritage site for its cultural and natural values, the first of its kind in Southeast Asia. In 2024, the locality will celebrate the 10th anniversary of receiving the title.
He expected that the Bulgarian leaders’ visit would create opportunities for Ninh Binh to expand cooperation with Bulgarian heritage municipalities, especially between heritage cities, heritage economies, and tourism centers.
Ninh Binh hopes to learn about Bulgaria’s tourism development and management, Huan told his guest.
Speaker of the Bulgarian National Assembly Rossen Zhelyazkov for his part affirmed that his visit demonstrates the desire to further strengthen the good friendship between the two countries, two parliaments and two peoples.
He expected that the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries in 2025 would be marked by good results in bilateral relations in all fields.
