Deputy PM, IC ICTAS leader of Turkey discuss Long Thanh Airport project
VOV.VN - Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha and Reha Denemec, Vice President of Turkey's IC ICTAS Group, have discussed measures to expedite the completion of package 5.10 of the Long Thanh International Airport Project, emphasizing the importance of continued cooperation and high-quality implementation.

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha hold a meeting in Hanoi on February 17 with Reha Denemec, Vice President of IC ICTAS Group, the head contractor in the VIETUR consortium, responsible for package 5.10, "Construction and Installation of Passenger Terminal Equipment," under Component 3 of the Long Thanh International Airport Project.
During the meeting, Deputy PM Ha hailed IC ICTAS for its reputation and experience in building airports worldwide. He stressed that the Government, including the Prime Minister, is closely monitoring the project, regularly holding specific meetings to accelerate progress and ensure the timely completion of the Long Thanh International Airport Project.
Ha expressed hope that IC ICTAS and the VIETUR consortium would continue collaborating with equipment suppliers to identify possible time-saving measures for completing package 5.10, ensuring the highest quality, technical standards, and economic efficiency.
"This project not only affirms IC ICTAS's credibility and capabilities but will also become a symbol of the deepening cooperation between Vietnam and Turkey, contributing to the promotion of investment, economic, trade, tourism, and cultural exchange, as well as people-to-people ties between our two countries," said the Deputy PM.
Regarding infrastructure development in transport (high-speed rail, urban rail) and energy, Ha praised IC ICTAS's approach to infrastructure projects, ensuring seamless connectivity. He also expressed his desire for IC ICTAS to continue undertaking more projects in Vietnam.
For the Long Thanh International Airport Project, Ha suggested that the Vietnam Airports Corporation, along with relevant ministries and agencies, work hand in hand with IC ICTAS to finalize solutions and detailed plans by March 2025, tackling any issues to fast-track package 5.10’s completion and synchronize progress across other project components, in line with the principle of "harmonized interests and shared risks."
Reha Denemec, in turn, affirmed that the VIETUR consortium has received strong support from Vietnamese businesses, partners, and highly skilled engineers and workers throughout the execution of package 5.10.
He assured that the consortium would do everything possible to explore technical and construction solutions to shorten the completion time for package 5.10 and expressed interest in carrying out additional infrastructure projects related to the operation of Long Thanh International Airport, as well as other transportation infrastructure projects in Vietnam in the future.
