Deputy PM hails Vietnam – Japan Special Ambassador’s contributions

VOV.VN - Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam has praised Vietnam – Japan Special Ambassador Sugi Ryotaro for his positive contributions to bilateral relations over the past three decades through socio-cultural and arts activities, and people-to-people exchange.

Dam was saying this at a reception in Hanoi on July 26 for the ambassador who is in Vietnam to attend the ASEAN – Japan music festival – Prayer for Peace, within the framework of ASEAN – Japan Day initiative. 

He applauded the growing Vietnam – Japan extensive strategic partnership across a variety of fields over the past years with increasingly consolidated political trust. 

Dam expressed his confidence that the ambassador will go ahead with practical activities to foster bilateral ties as well as promote Vietnam’s images in Japan. 

The success of the ASEAN – Japan music festival will help reinforce ties between both nations, he told his guest. 

In reply, Ryotaro highlighted great potential for stronger Japan – Vietnam ties in economics and culture while showing his wish that the two countries would work to beef up future bilateral cooperation.
