Deputy PM Bui Thanh Son attends Russian Energy Week 2025
VOV.VN - Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son is leading a Vietnamese delegation to attend the Russian Energy Week 2025 Forum, taking place in Moscow from October 15 to 17.

This year’s forum has drawn more than 5,000 delegates from 85 countries, including heads of state, government leaders, representatives of international organizations, major energy corporations, and leading global experts.
The event is one of the world’s largest international energy forums, co-organized by the Government of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Energy of Russia, and the Roscongress Foundation.
Main discussions focus on energy security, green transition, technological development, and international cooperation amid a complex geopolitical context. The accompanying exhibition showcases new technologies, equipment, and innovations in oil and gas, renewable energy, and nuclear power, underscoring Russia’s central role in the global energy supply chain.
The forum expands dialogue between energy-producing and energy-consuming nations, particularly from Asia and Latin America, in pursuit of balanced interests amid challenges posed by sanctions, trade protectionism, and carbon-emission reduction demands. High-level sessions are expected to address market trends, long-term energy security, and the establishment of a multipolar energy order.

A highlight of the event, Energy Youth Day on October 17, will bring together more than 1,500 students and young engineers to encourage youth participation in shaping future energy strategies. Cultural and artistic activities on the sidelines will help promote Russia’s image and strengthen international exchanges.
On the morning of October 15, Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son will attend and deliver remarks at the panel discussion themed “Global Energy Market: Shifting Relations and Balancing Interests.” On the sidelines of the forum, he is scheduled to hold bilateral meetings with Russian leaders and major corporations.
With its scale and wide influence, Russian Energy Week 2025 serves not only as a policy forum but also as a reaffirmation of joint commitments to cooperation, sustainable development, and global energy security responsibility.
