Large vegetarian buffet set for Mar 25 in HCM City
Green Monday Vietnam, a large-scale vegetarian buffet which is part of a Humane Society International-supported global campaign, will be launched in Ho Chi Minh City on March 25 from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Vietnam and South Africa are the first countries to be chosen for the event.
Its purposes are to build a healthy, sustainable and merciful community by stopping using meat, egg, milk and other milk-related products at least once a week, especially on Monday.
This will help people reduce the risk of contracting popular chronic illnesses like cardiac disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, obesity and cancer.
Science has proven that some chronic and non-infectious diseases can be prevented and treated, and patients can recover thanks to vegetative diet.
Chiara Squinzi, founder of La Holista and a supporter of healthy and sustainable lifestyle, and Robert Lucius, director of Humane Society International in Asia Pacific, will attend the launch of Green Monday Vietnam at the Hotel Continental Saigon, 132 Dong Khoi Street, District 1, HCM City.
