Visiting Hoang A Tuong Palace in Bac Ha
(VOV) - Tourists to Bac Ha district, Lao Cai province should visit Hoang A Tuong mansion, which is isolated in the center of the town. This used to be the most powerful house in the Northwest region.

The palace was built in 1914 - 1921. It was designed by French and Chinese architects. |

It is the oldest mansion in the northwestern region. Its owners were father and son Hoang Yen Chao and Hoang A Tuong of Tay ethnic group who ruled the region and were called King before 1945. |

Hoang A Tuong palace was built in the style of Asia – Europe with closed rectangular layouts. The main house is situated deep inside. Two sub-houses on the left and the right surround a courtyard. |

The main house has two stories. Four rooms on the two sides are for family activities. Sitting rooms are available on both floors. |
