Stunning cave discovered in Bac Kan province
A previously unknown cave called Tham Phong has been discovered by a travel agency in the northern province of Bac Kan’s Ba Be district.

| After entering via the cave’s mouth, which is 5-6 metres high and 5-7 metres wide, the cave splits into two sections, each of which is estimated at between 400 and 500 metres. |

| Running water is found on the cave’s bottom surface, while stalactites are found on both sides and the ceiling of the cave. |

| Nguyen Van Ha, Deputy Director of the Bac Kan Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism said a travel agency has asked for permission to use the cave for adventure travel but the proposal has not yet been approved. |

| He added that the department would report the information to the provincial People’s Committee in order to carry out a comprehensive survey of the cave before using it for tourism purposes. |
