Son Doong Cave – beautiful and affordable

(VOV) - In an episode that was months in the making and viewed by millions, the US American Broadcasting Network (ABC) recently featured Son Doong Cave on its ever popular Good Morning America program.

The Son Doong Cave located in the heart of the Phong Nha Ke Bang National Park in Quang Binh province has only been open to the public since 2013 and is rapidly becoming a must see global travel destination.

“Less people have seen the inside of the cave than have stood on the summit of Mount Everest and a tour of it is truly a life changing experience,” said Chau A Nguyen, general director of the Oxalis Company.

Oxalis, the sole provider of tours to the cave, offers a seven day and six night expedition tour package including meals and lodging for VND64.5 million— available with weekly departure dates.

It is advised to book your ticket far in advance as this is quickly becoming an increasingly popular tour and is strictly limited to 10 guests per departure.

With a team of more than 25 porters, safety experts and guides, trekkers will have the opportunity of a lifetime to explore the entire length of Son Doong Cave, Hang En Cave as well as visit the Ban Doong ethnic minority village deep in the jungle.
